The Ant©
Belach has launched its new “light” bioreactor range “The ANT©”. An easy-to-use, low-cost and robust bioreactor with its intuitive web-based control system. The ANT© has been successfully tested for chemostat and fed-batch processes at KTH Department of Bioprocess Technology.

Refine’s ATF
For those of you working with cell cultivation we have updated our portfolio with Refine’s ATF (Alternating Tangential Flow filtration) System that is used for concentrated fed batch processes, perfusion, cell banking and many other applications.

Hydrolysis Bioreactor
We are developing a new bioreactor for hydrolysis and fermentation of biomass. The design will allow users to perform simultaneous saccharification and fermentation of high solid and fibrous biomass. The reactor is currently tested by researchers at Lund University.

Collaboration
An ATF (Refine Technology) collaboration project between Belach Bioteknik and Finnish CMO company Biovian oy was ended with very promising results. CHO cells were cultivated in a 1L scale using a concentrated Fed-batch process, and cell density was increased by 6x and volumetric productivity by 10x. Warm welcome to our new colleague Christian Orrego Silvander who has experience as a Process Engineer working at the biopharmaceutical company Octapharma. Christian will be in charge of customer relations, sales development and specialize in providing bioprocess solutions to our customers.
